Tack for Aerial Training and Show

With Rael as the live-in blacksmith and leather worker, RedWindEquestrian has had a unique chance at customizing their stable tack beyond the normal limits. Given the unusual desert climate and royal origins, building the tack has been a multi-decade task, with updates made as new things come along. The staff seek to honor the Persian kings of old in design, while complying with modern stable standards.

RWE's tack designs are simple and elegant, sporting saddles loosely modeled on styles from the first millennium BCE. Influences are then drawn from murals and mosaics still visible on the ancient palace walls, particularly in the colors and patterns. The materials used however are completely modern; mostly leather, metal and wood.

The Aerial tack has a split-saddle design to extend over the base of the wing and is secured in place with multiple girths, including one under the tail. A seatbelt is sewn into the saddle to ensure the rider's security. In the show version a skin-tight body blanket showcases RWE's colors and emblem, as well as shielding the horse from the elements. The bridle sports a unique face-piece of tooled leather, to match the leg wrappings, which are padded leather.
