The Devil's Nightmare

Owned by the Devil himself, Nightmares are undead creatures that carry the souls of the dying down to the Underworld, providing them with a peaceful departure from the land of the living. They are quiet, gentle animals, with endlessly flowing hair that mimics the night skies. They are able to move silently and phase through solid objects, and often drift through a home unseen to collect the soul within. Those few people who have made it back from the Underworld to tell stories say that riding a Nightmare is like sitting astride a cloud; somehow warm and comforting despite the alien feel. Animals tend to like their company and often seem happy when around them.

Most people go their entire lives without seeing a Nightmare, but if you do, it is possible to catch one with a bridle made of spun silver that has been soaked in the blood of a sacrifice for at least a week. The more virile and young the sacrifice, the stronger the bridle holds. While it is on, the Nightmare cannot be recalled by Death to do his bidding, and will instead wander docilely around your stables. They cannot be ridden; if attempted the person that tried will die, as only souls freed from their bodies can mount a Nightmare. Undead or immortals will find riding a Nightmare to be the most unpleasant experience of their life as their (non-existent) soul attempts to leave their body, and not something to ever be repeated.

Some people like to keep a Nightmare in their stable because they have a calming effect on the other horses, and also serve as an early warning system of death in the complex. As Nightmares can sense each other at all times, the bridled one will become anxious and skittish if another Nightmare is nearby. If the bridle ever breaks the Nightmare will immediately return to the Underworld, no matter what ties it might be leaving behind. 

Rules

- Do not buy a Nightmare for riding/showing/breeding purposes. I will not tolerate them being ridden, and they cannot breed :/ They are intended as more of a mascot or story device. 
- Name and gender may be changed, I just had nicknames for them while drawing them x3
- Bid in the comments c: Starting bid is 100, you may offer points or possibly other things but I don't have great experience with people coming through with other payment forms D:
- Minimum bidding increase of 10
